LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - UNLV men’s swimming freshman Kiril Stepanov has been named the WAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Stepanov, a native of Vilnius, Lithuania, won three individual events and contributed to two Rebel relay wins in a two-day short-course meter dual meet win against Simon Fraser. On the first day of competition, he claimed two victories in the 50 free (23.30) and in the 100 free (49.86). To close out the meet, he placed first in the 200 free, clocking a time of 1:49.91.

Additionally, Stepanov helped the 200 free relay team (1:32.92) and the 400-meter relay team (3:35.36) to first-place finishes
