If Lake Mead ever reached an elevation of 895 feet, water would be cut off to everyone except Nevada.
"If everybody used the Colorado as efficiently as Las Vegas, the water would be flowing over the top of the dam right now and damaging it because we use that little relative to the number of people living in this valley," Lang said.
