Karla Salinas joined the FOX5 team in October 2024 as an anchor and reporter. She is a bilingual journalist with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to amplifying the Hispanic voices in the community. She graduated from the Robert C. Vackar College of Business at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Karla's experience as a correspondent for Daytime in San Antonio, TX and as an entertainment host for Take 5 in Weslaco, TX, has prepared her with the skills to connect with diverse audiences and tell stories that resonate. In 2024, Karla was nominated for a Lone Star Emmy for her work featuring a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fishing excursions on a wheelchair-accessible boat.

As a proud Latina, she is thrilled to bring her storytelling passion to Las Vegas, where she looks forward to sharing impactful Hispanic stories with the community. When she's not at work, Karla is a dedicated foodie who loves exploring local restaurants and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
