Lisa Sturgis
Investigative Producer
Lisa Sturgis brings nearly four decades of experience in TV, radio, and digital news to the FOX5 team.
Sturgis attended Arizona State University before beginning her journalistic journey in Yuma, Arizona in the late 1980’s. Her career took her to Reno, Dayton, and Cleveland before she joined CNN in the late 90’s, as a line and segment producer for a primetime court and crime-themed talk show. The road then led to Fox News Channel’s New York City newsroom, then down to the Washington, D.C. bureau, where she was a segment producer and booker for a top-rated primetime political talk show.
After leaving the network, Sturgis came to Las Vegas to work as an assignment editor and producer, before heading all the way up to the Last Frontier to help to relaunch news programming for a team in Anchorage, Alaska. She went on to oversee the relaunch and operation of a news website in southern Arizona, then covered border issues, water, and politics for the local NPR affiliate.
Sturgis now produces newscasts, segments, and digital content for the FOX5 team, so you can look for her work both on-air and online.
When she’s not telling stories, she’s mothering a very spoiled Chihuahua, rooting on the VGK, Aces, and Raiders, binging documentaries of all types, or bouncing around in the desert in her Jeep.
