Kyndell Kim is the weekday afternoon meteorologist at FOX5.
From severe thunderstorms to dangerously high record-setting temperatures, Kyndell has been working to inform Southern Nevadans of impending weather since 2015.
Kyndell is a graduate of the Broadcast and Operational Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University. In addition, Kyndell also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California, Irvine. Kyndell was also a cheerleader at UC Irvine.
Kyndell joins FOX5 after spending nearly a decade working as a meteorologist and anchor/reporter right here in Las Vegas! Kyndell began her career as a weather forecaster at KBAK-TV in Bakersfield, CA, where she was also the station’s midday anchor. Previously, Kyndell worked as a production assistant and intern at KABC-TV in Los Angeles and anchor/reporter at Time Warner Cable's Channel 3 News in Orange County, CA.
Kyndell is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Outside of work, Kyndell can be found dancing or singing with her two beautiful daughters, playing fetch with her yorkies and/or cooking at home alongside her husband (sometimes all three at the same time)!
