Hana Altenburg

Hana Altenburg is a proud 5th generation Nevadan, and thrilled to be part of the KOLO 8’s Good Morning Reno team as a reporter.

Hana first joined the KOLO 8 team in February of 2024, as the news intern for the station where her passion for storytelling was ignited.

During her time as an undergraduate student, Hana was able to report on both campus and community based stories. Building a repertoire as well as making connections with members of our Northern Nevada area.

She graduated with her bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism and double minors in Communication Studies and Sports Management from the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno in May 2024.

When not in the newsroom, Hana dedicates her time to giving back to the community, through her involvement as a titleholder in the Miss America Organization.
