LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) -A Pacific storm pattern is in place for the west coast including the Las Vegas area the next few days.

For Saturday, the most we can expect will be clouds.

Winter officially arrived a little after midnight in Las Vegas but you wouldn’t believe it based on our daytime temperatures.

Our normal high for December 21st should be 56 degrees. Our high for Saturday is 66 degrees.

Wind will continue to be light through the weekend picking up by Tuesday, Christmas Eve.

The weather system heading at us will deliver some breezy to windy periods for us Christmas Eve with a 40% chance of rain,.

As of now it doesn’t look like a real soaker, more along the lines of light rain.

The wind and rain quickly exit east on Christmas Day returning the drier weather, but also opening the door for cooler temperatures.

Those cooler temps will still be above seasonal but closer to where we should be for this time of the year,
