First alert changes are in the forecast this week, as cooler air out of the north funnels into the viewing area. A breeze to start this week will signal the changes, as high temperatures are expected to stall in the upper 50s and lower 60s through the upcoming weekend.

A trough over the four corners region is driving in windy weather down the Colorado River Valley Monday and Tuesday. A Wind Advisory is in effect from Lake Mead to Laughlin from 10 a.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Tuesday, where 20-30 mph sustained wind, with gusts to 45 mph are expected.

The wind will back off by mid-week, though an incoming system will bring in a slight chance for showers, favoring the higher terrain by Thursday.
