LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) -A wind advisory will remain in effect until 4 AM Sunday.

It will continue to be windy throughout the day Sunday but the gusts will drop below advisory status.

There is a trough pushing east with cooler air feeding into it as we approach Thanksgiving.

We do have a chance of showers between Monday and Wednesday for the the Las Vegas area and snow for higher elevations.

Significant snow is forecast for the Sierras the next few days with accumulations up to 4 and a half feet along the crest,

For us here in southern Nevada we will experience temperatures dropping into the 50′s on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
