Trial could last 10 days for former politician accused of killing Las Vegas journalist

A former Clark County politician is expected to face trial next week on murder charges for a Las Vegas journalist.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Trial is still on track to begin next week for the former Clark County politician charged with killing a Las Vegas journalist.

Robert Telles was in court Wednesday morning. He’s accused of killing Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German in 2022.

Prosecutors and Telles’s attorney said they will be ready to begin the trial Monday and the court will go from their with jury selection.

Prosecutors say they have 20 witnesses. The defense attorney told the judge they have a dozen and believes the trial will last about 10 days.
