LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A suspected burglar tied by investigators to a series of break-ins uses a saw to cut his way into businesses, then busts a hole through a wall.

FOX5 obtained surveillance video of this dramatic scene from last August, happening in a complex off Sandhill and Sunset Road. The business reached out to FOX5 after learning about the suspect’s lengthy criminal history, recent arrest and FOX5’s previous coverage.

Video shows how the suspect sawed through the metal door of a t-shirt company, then broke through the wall of eStudioStar to ransack the business office. The suspect took equipment, electronics and even a pack of soda.

The suspect came to the building twice within a week. The businesses filed reports with Metro Police.

For months, operations manager Keith Warcholak hadn’t heard from investigators, until a court document arrived in the mail. It listed a defendant: Shawn David Morrow.

“It was surprising to me, because I didn’t realize the severity of how many people that he had targeted,” Warcholak said. “The first thing I did is Google his name, and the first person to come up was you,” Warcholak said to FOX5’s Jaclyn Schultz, after watching previous coverage.

FOX5 was already familiar with the exact case in District Court. Morrow was arrested and charged in a string of business burglaries, including a August case where police said he busted through a wall of a podcast studio.

FOX5 recently spoke to small business owners who want the suspected burglar to stay behind bars after the latest crime spree. Police records said that Morrow burglarized the same smoke shop in 2023 and 2024.

As part of a guilty plea agreement, Morrow will face sentencing for a business burglary count and auto theft.

Morrow will be sentenced January 6. According to court documents, Morrow will pay restitution to businesses in all the cases, including ones with charges dismissed as part of the plea deal.
