Nevada mother-daughter duo both win beauty pageant
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A mom and daughter duo are now pageant winners.
Dr. Trudy Reese was recently crowned Mrs. Nevada America. Her daughter, Cameron Reese, won Teen Nevada United World.
To two are passionate about serving the community and often volunteer for Project Marilyn, a non-profit organization that provides period supply kits for women in need.
They say they’ve participated in pageants before, but this is the first time they’ve been able to accomplish winning the crown in the same year.
“Now we are able to go do it together, and I love visibility, I love the opportunities that it gives us, I love the message that it sends to other moms and daughters to actually get out there and do something different, stretch yourself and make a difference,” Dr. Trudy Reese said.
“I think we were both like we are both going to have an amazing year, community service, events, we just knew we were going to go to everything together and be the mother daughter duo,” Cameron Reese said.
Both are going to nationals this fall and hope to bring home the title.
