LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - In February, NHL players will be participating in the 4 Nations tournament instead of the traditional NHL All-Star game.

The Vegas Golden Knights looked to be will represented at the international showcase. Wednesday, William Karlsson was named to Team Sweden.

Karlsson recently skated in his 700th game and is the all-time franchise leader in plus-minus and shorthanded goals for Vegas.

The 31-year-old previously represented his country at the 2017 World Championships helping Sweden earn a gold medal.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy is an assistant coach for Team Canada. Jack Eichel was named one of the first six players for the United States roster.

Both Canada and the US will announce their full rosters on Thursday.
