Las Vegas Aviators fall to Sacramento River Cats

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Sacramento River Cats defeated the Las Vegas Aviators, 9-5, in game two of the six-game series before a crowd of 4,790 at Las Vegas Ballpark.
Sacramento improved to 1-1 in the second half (45-32 overall) and Las Vegas dropped to 1-1 (38-39 overall).
River Cats right-hander Carson Seymour recorded the victory with 5.1 solid innings. He allowed 4 hits, 1 unearned run, walked 1 and struck out 4 on 82 pitches (53 strikes).
The River Cats built a 5-0 lead after 4 ½ innings. Catcher Logan Porter was 2-for-3, two walks, two-run home run in the second inning. Left fielder Blake Sabol was 2-for-4, double, walk, RBI, run scored.
Las Vegas right-hander J.T. Ginn suffered the loss. He pitched 4.2 innings and allowed 6 hits, 5 runs, walked 3 and struck out 6 on 82 pitches (50 strikes).
Aviators designated hitter Jacob Wilson was 2-for-5, two runs scored. Center fielder Seth Brown was 2-for-5, RBI, run scored and third baseman Brett Harris was 2-for-4, runs scored.
Game three of the nine-game homestand is Thursday at 7:05 p.m. on $2.00 Beer Night.
