LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Reno Aces defeated the Las Vegas Aviators, 13-10, in game five of the seven-game series before a crowd of 7,727 at Las Vegas Ballpark.

The Aces improved to 14-17 and Las Vegas dropped to 15-16.

Reno built a 6-0 lead after 3 ½ innings. The Aviators rallied and scored seven runs in the sixth inning to take a 9-7 lead. Reno, trailing 10-7, scored three runs each in the eighth and ninth innings to secure the victory.

Aviators center fielder Daz Cameron was 2-for-4, double, walk, 4 RBI, run scored, three-run triple. Left fielder Carlos Perez was 2-for-3, two walks, double, RBI, two runs scored.

Las Vegas left-hander Jack O’Loughlin pitched 3.2 innings in the no decision. He allowed 8 hits, 6 runs, walked 1 and struck out 4 on 74 pitches (50 strikes).

Reno right-hander Cristian Mena pitched 5.0 innings in the no decision. He allowed 4 hits, 2 runs, walked 4 and struck out 4 on 90 pitches (49 strikes).

Aces catcher Jose Herrera was 3-for-5, solo home run, three runs scored. Right fielder Brett Johnson was 2-for-4, double, HR, 5 RBI, walk, two runs scored.

Game six of the homestand (Las Vegas leads the series, 3-games-to-2) is Saturday at 7:05 p.m. on STAR WARS night.
