Two sports legends team up to bring rare memorabilia museum to Las Vegas
Tom Brady joins with iconic broadcaster Jim Gray for one-of-a-kind exhibit
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Some sporting legends came together on the Friday before the Super Bowl to cut the ribbon on a what could become a hallowed place in sports history.
Seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady announced he’s teaming up with Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster Jim Gray to bring the first-ever Hall of Excellence Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
The museum will open later this year. It will feature one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia curated from both Brady and Gray’s extensive collections. as well as from such sporting legends as Muhammad Ali, Vince Lombardi, Jim Brown, Babe Ruth, and Hank Aaron.
Also to be displayed - all of Brady’s Super Bowl rings.
“We have a Smithsonian of artifacts,” said Brady. “These exhibits are about more than just championships and jewelry, they’re about the stories of the people who helped others win.”
“Las Vegas has become one of the world’s most popular sports destinations, and now fans will have a place to immerse themselves in their most beloved and treasured iconic moments, featuring classic items of their favorite teams and players,” adds Mr. Gray.
Gray worked closely with designer Peter Arnell to build an exhibit that suited both the Fontainebleau and its esteemed exhibits.
Brady says the Hall is a team collaboration specifically designed to celebrate the team.
“Their stories are about everyone who put the team goals ahead of the individual.”
