Las Vegas police investigate deadly motorcycle crash near 215, Durango

A 21-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash in southwest Las Vegas, police say.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A 21-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash in southwest Las Vegas, police say.

Las Vegas police said the crash happened at Durango and Sunset roads Tuesday morning around 6:32 a.m.

According to evidence at the scene and witness statements, the 21-year-old rode a Daytona and the crash also involved a Jeep Wrangler.

Police said a 21-year-old woman drove the Wrangler southbound on Durango and turned left on a yellow signal onto Sunset.

A crash happened when the front of the Daytona struck the right side of the Jeep.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.

The motorcyclist’s death marked the 153rd traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction. This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
