Formula 1 relaunches text alerts, introduces webpage ahead of Las Vegas Strip roadwork

Formula 1 is relaunching its text notification system to help valley residents avoid roadwork on the Strip.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - As the Las Vegas Grand Prix approaches, Formula 1 is relaunching its text notification system to help valley residents avoid roadwork on the Strip.

In collaboration with Clark County, the SMS text update system will provide easy access to real-time updates on road closures and construction. Those enrolled for alerts will receive a text message every Sunday, Wednesday, and throughout the week as needed. Messages will begin at the end of August in advance of roadwork, which officials say is set to begin early September.
