LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Salt Lake Bees defeated the Las Vegas Aviators, 5-3, in game two of the six-game series before a crowd of 5,422 at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Salt Lake improved to 26-38 and Las Vegas dropped to 33-32. The series is tied, 1-1.

Bees right-hander Zach Plesac recorded the victory with 7.0 solid innings. He allowed 4 hits, 1 run, walked 1 and struck out 2 on 85 pitches (59 strikes).

Salt Lake left fielder Jason Martin was 2-for-3, double, walk, two runs scored. First baseman Keston Hiura (2-for-4) hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning.

Aviators right-hander Brandon Bielak suffered the loss despite 5.0 solid innings. He allowed 2 hits, 2 runs, walked 3 and struck out 2 on 76 pitches (41 strikes).

Las Vegas third baseman Armando Alvarez extended his hitting streak to 12 games. He was 2-for-4, 2 RBI, solo home run in the second inning. Catcher Carlos Perez was 1-for-3, double, walk.
