Stolen vehicle collides with Metro patrol unit in downtown Las Vegas
One officer treated for minor injuries

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A Las Vegas police officer was transported to the hospital Thursday morning following a crash involving a stolen vehicle.
Patrol units were attempting to stop a stolen Hyundai near Eastern and Fremont around 7 a.m. Metro tells FOX5 the vehicle fled from officers and collided with a marked police vehicle which was also responding.
The suspect was taken into custody. Police say one officer was transported for minor injuries.
The westbound lanes of Fremont will be closed at Eastern as police investigate.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
